The Dolphin is 85ft long by 26ft wide, has the most deck & galley
space, and is the smoothest riding and most clean & comfortable
1/2 day boat in California--period!
1/2 day and Twilight trips usually fish within one hour's
traveling distance from Islandia Sportfishing. The area from the
La Jolla kelp beds on south to the Point Loma kelp beds provides
us with great fishing for Yellowtail, Bonito, Calico bass, and
Barracuda when the water currents are right. When the kelp beds
aren't producing, we'll sometimes head farther south to the Baja
border in search of sand bass schools, or maybe go north to the Torrey Pines and Del Mar fishing zones for action. When surface
fishing is not available, we'll travel offshore to fish for
rockfish. These are bottom dwellers found in waters 100-250 feet
deep.
Many anglers have caught their first ocean fish while on a 1/2 day
trip on the Dolphin out of Islandia Sportfishing. It is a great
time for all ages.
The Dolphin's galley can seat up to 60 people. In their full service galley you can get
breakfast, burgers and many other common dinner-style Items. They
also have a full assortment of sodas and beer.
